On Monday, 25th, during the National Association of Publishers (NAB) event, Lexar announced the Diamond Professional CFexpress Type B series, considered the fastest in the world up to the present. The company also announced Gold series Professional CFexpres Type A cards.
Lexar Professional CFexpress Type B Card Diamond Series offers read speeds up to 1900 Mbps and write speeds up to 1700 Mbps. Thus, the fastest card can shoot 8K, 6K and 4K videos without stuttering. The Gold series Professional CFexpress Type A card allows up to 800 Mbps write and 900 Mbps read, making it also an excellent choice for capturing high quality photos and videos.
Speeds are based on internal testing and may vary by device, but they offer a minimum recording speed of 400Mbps. Memory cards support operating temperatures between -10°C and 70°C and non-operating temperatures between -20°C and 85°C, as well as vibration resistance.
The brand will also launch the CFexpress Type A card reader with USB Type-C and 10Gbps transfer protocol support.

The purpose of the new high-performance releases is to provide audiovisual professionals and content creators with a quality choice. The cards are designed to give the best performance to the features of high-end cameras and will be available in the second quarter of 2022.
