On Monday, Musk posted a letter to Twitter stating that he plans to keep the settlement on the original terms should a Delaware judge drop the case.

The renewal of the proposal comes before the lawsuit between Musk and Twitter, which is scheduled to take place on October 17. There, the social network was supposed to ensure the forced conclusion of the deal.

Twitter executives said they received Musk’s letter and are considering closing the deal at the original price, a company spokesperson told Reuters.

It remains to wait for the official statement of the two sides. If the deal materializes, it will be close in scale to the agreement between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, and is currently run by antitrust authorities around the world.
