Platforma, a joint venture between VTB and Rostelecom, has acquired a 50% stake in the MediaSniper programmatic platform, Platforma’s press service reported.

The structure of VTB and Rostelecom bought a part of the MediaSniper advertising platform.

MediaSniper is the largest programmatic big data platform. The advertising platform is managed by Programmatic Ecosystems LLC. According to the SBIS service, the company’s revenue for 2021 amounted to 591.5 million rubles, net profit – 65.6 million rubles.

Platforma (Big Data Platform LLC) is owned equally by Rostelecom and VTB. The company’s revenue for the past year is estimated at 6 million rubles, while the loss amounted to 203.8 million rubles.

Following the start of joint work, Platforma and MediaSniper plan to develop advertising solutions for various industries, including the retail and financial segment.

Platforma pointed out that the joint product will make it possible to distinguish the common fans of the sites of one theme or another from the potential clients of the concessionaire.

The transaction was closed on September 30, its value was not disclosed. According to market participants, it does not exceed one billion rubles.
