On Monday, Metro shopping centers in some Russian cities suspended their work. The network’s press service noted temporary technical failures in the IT infrastructure.
Messages about the suspension of the shopping center and the online store came from St. Petersburg, Lipetsk, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk. The Metro press service noted that supermarkets are currently open, but orders via mobile app are not yet available.
“METRO observed temporary technical failures in the IT structure. At the moment, METRO shopping malls are operating as normal,” Metro said in a Telegram message.
The company offered to place orders through SberMarket until the online store resumes operation. The reasons for the failure are currently being investigated, the network’s press service added.
