Former CEO of SberGames Alexander Mikheev was given the post of product manager at VK Play, the service’s press service reported.
In June 2022, Sber announced the closure of SberGames, the reason for this decision was sanctions.
In the new role, Mikheev will oversee the product line as well as the strategy for bringing the products to market.
“We continue to strengthen the VK Play team and are very happy that Alexander Mikheev has joined us, whose experience will help bring our products to a new level. Alexander has extensive experience in the gaming industry and I am sure that we have many exciting releases ahead of us,” said Vasily Maguryan, CEO of VK Play.
Since March 2021, Mikheev has been a co-founder of SberGames and later served as CEO of the company. VK Play playground was launched in April 2022.
