Application What’s up? continues to work on security improvements for the app so users can enjoy more privacy of their content. Only a few months ago, self-destructing photos arrived on the instant messaging app, meaning you could only see them once, and then they vanish forever.

Of course, unlike Instagram, you don’t have time to see them, but once you close them, it’s the end. Well, the version for browsers to further increase the security of the users of the application, whatsapp networkit will no longer be able to show you self-destructing photos.

Instead, when a user sends you this type of photo, you will only have the option to open it from your mobile. In this way, according to WaBetaInfo, if someone is accessing your computer while WhatsApp Web is open, they will not be able to see the content.

WhatsApp Web will be more secure than ever

So it doesn’t matter if you are the only person with access to your computer and only you can open your WhatsApp Web app. This change has already been seen in the latest betas of the messaging app, making it impossible to open self-destructing photos on WhatsApp.

However, from now on, when you receive one of these temporary photos and you are in your WhatsApp Web app, nothing will happen, the image will not open. Instead the app will tell you that if you want to see the content of the image you have to use your mobile phone. When you click on the photo sent to you, a message will appear saying: “You have received a message that can only be seen once. You can just open it on your phone to enhance your privacy.”

Thanks to this change, self-destructing photos can only be seen and sent via the WhatsApp mobile application. And since you can’t open from WhatsApp Web, we’re assuming you can’t send from this computer app either. This change is also great for not taking screenshots on computer as it is something that can be easily blocked from mobile.

And this kind of privacy change doesn’t end there, because you can no longer cheat to see photos as much as you want. This is something that can be done from WhatsApp Web by putting the phone in airplane mode after syncing with the app on the computer. In this way, the photo remained in the browser to view as much as you want, but this will no longer be possible.
