Oppo is launching the new Reno 8 series in Europe, consisting of two main models: Renault 8 and Renault 8 Pro. The idea, as in previous generations, is to satisfy those people who are looking for a product with a thoughtful design and quality cameras, but do not want to pay thousands of euros (or even more) that reference phones usually cost.
Both phones feature designs that combine the flat sides of the previous generation with the “mound” of the back we’ve seen on the Oppo Find series. The result – especially on the Pro model, which feels more premium in the hand– it’s pretty noticeable.
brand also chose a series of rather interesting colorsespecially highlighting the very attractive green model in the Reno 8 Pro and the variant Shine what catches the eye in the case of Reno 8.

Reno 8 is a real Oppo star
The new Oppo Reno 8s are worthy products, although from a technical point of view, the most interesting is perhaps the standard model, not the Pro.
Standard Oppo Reno 8 includes the IMX766 sensor, which the brand also installs on its high-end products., the only difference is the absence of both OIS and the MariSilicon X processor for image processing. However, the IMX766 is a fairly competent sensor on its own, so it should be a notable improvement in photography over its predecessor.

It also takes a step forward in the front camera with a new sensor; on internal memory, which is now 256 GB; in the capacity of the battery, which is gaining 200 mAh; in charging speed that reaches 80W; and in other minor aspects such as the speed of the fingerprint reader.
Another significant change is the processor, which moves from Dimensity 900 to Dimensity 1300. This chip is noticeably more powerful, and benchmarks such as the Geekbench multi-core test reflect this, where it scores 50% more.
Oppo Reno 8 It will be sold for 549 euros., 50 euros more than its predecessor. However, between inflation pushing the entire tech industry into higher prices and a clear product evolution in areas like the processor or the main sensor, this increase makes sense.
Oppo Reno 8 Pro takes a step forward, but also back
The Oppo Reno 8 Pro, on the other hand, takes steps forward but also backwards. We have processor MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max which promises better performance than its Snapdragon 870 predecessor, an excellent fast charging system, a screen that now has a frequency of 120Hz, and a front camera with a technically improved sensor. Also includes MariSilicon X imaging chip what the brand sets on the Find X5 Pro.
Nonetheless, The Reno 8 Pro also takes a few steps back from its predecessor in some respects.. For example: the main camera loses the OIS system, the wide-angle camera has a lower sensor, it does without a telephoto lens and has 4 GB less RAM (from 12 in the previous model to 8 in this case).

However, the reason for these steps back is unknown. One possibility is inflation. which threatens to increase prices for various technological goods in the coming months. Reno 8 Pro will be sold at the same price as Reno 6 Pro: 799 euros. And, perhaps to avoid the growth caused by the aforementioned inflation, the brand decided to take a step back in some aspects. However, this is just a possibility, as the brand has not provided a reason for this strategy.
what yes, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro definitely stands out with its design, which is well taken care of, with very thin bezels around the screen, a light body and a pleasant feel in the hand. The green model is also very attractive.
Both arrive with promotions
Both the Oppo Reno 8 and the Pro variant will hit stores with launch promotions including the Enco Free 2 headphones (which have a suggested retail price of €99 at the brand’s store) in the case of the standard model and the Enco X2 (whose PVP is €199). euros in the company store) in the case of the Reno 8 Pro. The two models will also come with a gift box from the brand. The inclusion of these accessories certainly plays into the handsets’ favor in their first weeks of sale.

Oppo also introduces a cheap tablet
Chinese brand too took the opportunity to officially unveil the Oppo Pad Airan inexpensive tablet that might be a good option for those looking for an inexpensive product for reading, doing simple tasks, or as a gift for school and next Christmas.
It has a 10.3-inch 2K screen, a 7100mAh battery, four Dolby Atmos-compatible speakers, up to 128GB of storage, a metal back, and a chassis that is less than 7 millimeters. The processor is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 and the operating system is Android, but with a layer of ColorOS for Pad that allows for certain useful gestures in the world of multitasking.
Oppo Pad Air It will arrive in stores at a price of 299 euros in the version with 4 GB of RAM + 64 GB of storage.. The 128 GB variant will cost 349 euros.
