“The mathematical model we developed solves the problems in the development of scaffolds. Scaffolds are temporary “scaffolds” for tissue repair, which are then absorbed. For example, there was a complex fracture that may not heal properly or may not heal at all. With such a problem, they turn to experts in the field of tissue engineering. These experts prepare the scaffold using 3D printing from biodegradable material. The system is then filled with bone tissue cells and placed in a nutrient medium where the cells begin to grow intensively along the “scaffolds”. It is worth noting that this system was developed like a broken section. In this way, bone tissue grows and is implanted in the fracture site, ”explained one of the scientists.
The researchers also noted that the resulting pattern is universal. It can be easily adapted to other tasks.
