Manufacturer Boston Dynamics has released a new ad for the robot Locationthe company’s “artificial dog”, capable of all movements and went viral several times on social networks.
The highlight of the new clip, “No Time Do Dance”, is precisely the expectation a factory worker experiences when working with a Spot: the man thinks his new robotic colleague will just dance. He’s seen this happen a few times on YouTube, but actually the robot is also an exemplary employee.
He is finally satisfied after being able to rehearse a few steps with his partner. Check out:
The video shows Spot in action during serious moments: the robot dog can record videos of its bullets, take sensory readings with a team on the computer, or check temperature changes in factories, for example.
Spot has been commercially available since June 2020. $75,000 per unit and it’s being used for tracking in places like Hyundai’s factories, which currently owns Boston Dynamics.
