Yandex is presented at the YaK 2022 conference Yandex New Generation Maps.
The company has completely redesigned roads, junctions, buildings and other objects to be more realistic, to make it easier for drivers and pedestrians to navigate.
We want to make it easier for people to solve problems in reality with their counterparts on the map. Reading current schemes can be difficult: for example, it is not always clear whether that grating is a pedestrian crossing or something else. We don’t want to make the map photo-realistic, otherwise it will take too long to load due to the abundance of details. Therefore, we encounter significant deviations, when enough to exclude elements, but not too many to lose them.

Maps will gradually increase. Try the design of the roads, the outlines of lanes and safety islands have appeared. Complex junctions will be displayed in 3D. In the beta version of Yandex, road maps in Moscow are getting a new design for good luck.
Then Yandex will be known by the appearance of other objects. For example, a window, a roof, entrances and ramps open. Places also appear on the map in places where they understand entrances, underground passages and public transport stops.
