Billing growth for grocery delivery services will fall to 44% in 2023

In 2022, sales of online products in Moscow and the Moscow region will grow by 53%, to RUB 326.2 billion year on year. The Moscow region accounts for the majority of online restaurant food orders in Russia. The turnover of the entire Russian grocery delivery market in 2022 will increase by about 60%, to 600-620 billion rubles a year, in 2023 – by 44%, Kommersant writes with reference to Infoline research.

According to the analysis agency, in September Vkusvill occupied 20% of the market, Sbermarket, Ozon and X5 Group represented 10% each, Samokat had 9%, another 41% was distributed to other services.

Experts believe that the focus of the development of online delivery services in 2023 will continue to shift to regions where a fairly mature market has already formed. Outside the capital, there is still a fairly low level of competition between services, analysts say.
