In a section on the Redskull YouTube channel, expert Alex compared the cameras of two flagships: the iPhone 14 and the Samsung Galaxy S22. The smartphones were tested in various scenarios, including portrait shooting, daytime photos with the main and wide-angle cameras, and night photos with the same lenses.

Both devices can shoot 4K 30fps video on the front camera. But during the day you will not feel much difference between them. Although the viewing angle is slightly larger on the iPhone 14.

As for the 2x zoom, the picture is very sharp on the iPhone 14. However, the color reproduction on it is nicer than on the Galaxy S22. In general, as the server adds, the S22 works better in this scenario.

With a fivefold increase, Samsung did better again. This is because the iPhone 14 in this case only uses digital zoom.

In portrait mode, the Samsung S22 takes more realistic and natural shots. But the iPhone 14 embellishes the pictures a little, making them more suitable for social networks. Cutting hair and other objects is also better than Samsung’s algorithms.

Photos taken with the ultra-wide-angle lens on the iPhone 14 come out very saturated. So, in terms of color reproduction, Sansung is still better in this case.

The situation with the main camera is almost the same as for the ultra-wide camera. So the iPhone 14 takes very saturated photos compared to the Galaxy S22. iPhone also sharpens images. Dynamic range is also slightly better on the Samsung.

The ultra-wide photos of the Samsung S22 in the evening and at night are generally not of very high quality compared to the photos on the iPhone 14.

If we talk about night and day video shooting, in general, the iPhone 14 is better suited for this, but the Samsung S22 has the ability to record 8K 24 fps video on the main camera.

Day and evening, smartphones have very similar video recording results. However, it should be noted that ultra-wide-angle cameras are still not suitable for low-light video capture.

Selfie photos are better on the iPhone 14, even during the day. But at night the S22 shows itself better.
