This is the third film in the lineup from Bubble Studios, if you count the first short film. It is also based on the comics, like the previous installments.

very different superhero movie
The novelty looks completely different than the previous part. She has her own style, different from the original.
What is the movie about: young Igor Grom is looking for options to urgently earn a large amount for a trip to Disneyland and gets involved in a dubious adventure for a couple with his friend Ignat.
Meanwhile, his father Konstantin, together with the future chief of the St. Petersburg police, Fedor Prokopenko, is hunting for the boss of the criminal world, nicknamed Anubis. He seized power in a short time and became the main pillar of the underworld.
The plot of the picture is quite simple and straightforward. But you don’t expect anything else from a superhero movie. Although the story is presented in a different order, it takes place in Marvel and DC.
Surprisingly, in a little less than an hour and a half, the authors were able to explain the main features. Especially it is kasakis and Igor Grom himself performed by Kai Getz (as well as Tikhon Zhiznevsky – yes, he is also in the picture, albeit quite a bit).
Due to two extraordinary features in the form of a father and the best viewer knows how exactly did that “Thunder” that we all know come about. The nature of his main “superpower” also becomes clear.
At the same time, other events also have problems of personal drama, here a theme that is already standard for modern cinema is raised – the problem of fathers and children. After all, Konstantin is always on assignment, he is almost never at home, and his son wants this to change.
The detective component of the film was rather weak. The identity of Anubis can be accurately guessed already in the middle picture, this is not a particular difficulty. There are also obvious “Chekhov’s guns” here. One thing you will notice immediately at the beginning of the observation, and that this assumption before the assumption is not difficult. height and one of the central dramas becomes clear.
New easy to read already from the first minutes, don’t expect these twists and turns and other unexpected moments. However, I can not say that this somehow greatly spoils the viewing experience. Especially for the movie that you watch at home, not in the cinema.
Dialogues are also uncomplicated, but I personally did not notice much. That is, empty chatter is completely absent – everyone speaks only on business, sometimes joking at the events taking place. With humor here, by the way, there are no problems either. He does not roll down to the level below the belt and skillfully plays on your emotions, forcing you to at least smile at the right moments.
In some places, the paintings even resemble “Don’t Be a Menace to the South Center.” Especially in those scenes when Grom’s best friend ignites.
Stylish picture only complements the film
Personally, I was hooked in the new Thunder not so much by the story itself as by its innings.
Visually superhero looks great. And although there are only two action scenes, both of them can be performed at a high level. One feels a very responsible approach to them. Dynamics and drive are repeated in every case, in every frame, in every collision with the “leaders”.
At the same time, the authors do not forget that the picture was shot, first of all, about a child. At the cooking stage, various anime style insertsand sometimes the special effects are organically designed for the comics.
And, of course, the very atmosphere of “our 90s” is perfectly conveyed: gang wars, Stas Baretsky in a raspberry jacket, crime TV shows, CDs and much more. The fictional world inside St. Petersburg allows you to plunge into that outside world with feeling.

For a January weekend, Thunder: Difficult Childhood is a great movie to brighten up your home time.
This is a light film that allows you to solve current problems and just relax. By the way, after the credits did not pass. We are clearly waiting for a sequel.
