Kyrgyzstan eases visa regime for foreign investors

The Supreme Council of the Kyrgyz Republic announced the adoption of amendments to the migration law.

The amendments ease the visa regime for foreigners who invest in the state’s economy. For investments in the amount of $116,000 in dollar equivalent (10 million Kyrgyz Soms), you can now get a visa for 5 years, for $230,000 (20 million Kyrgyz Soms) – for 10 years.

In August 2022, Kyrgyzstan adopted a program that introduces a special regime for IT specialists moving to the country. The status of “digital nomad” allows you to obtain housing in Kyrgyzstan without registration and without issuing a work permit.

From October 30, 2022, Portugal started issuing visas for digital nomads. Holders of such a visa will be able to live in Portugal while working for a company in another country.
