As of January 23, the Ministry of Digital Development will start accepting applications from IT specialists for a deferral of the spring draft. Now requests can be submitted not only by IT companies, but also by their own employees. To receive a deferral, a specialist must meet several criteria.
The start of receiving applications was announced by the Ministry of Digital Development on its Telegram channel.
An employee of an IT company will be able to apply for State Services from January 23 to February 6. If an employee of an organization does not have a profile on the platform, an employer can request one. Only employees of companies accredited before February 9, 2023 can count on a deferral.
The applicant for a deferment must meet several criteria: age from 18 to 27 years, Russian citizenship and employment contract, working hours of no more than 40 hours a week, specialized higher education, relevant work experience.
Until February 9, the employing company will review the data of the employees and send them to the Ministry of Digital Development, which will confirm the lists and transfer them to the Ministry of Defense. The draft commission will make a decision before the end of the spring draft on July 15.
