Car owners may be required to reserve the date and time of crossing the Russian border. The State Duma has prepared the corresponding amendments to the law “On Highways and Road Activities in Russia”.
Both Russians and foreign citizens and carriers will have to book border crossing times. The modifications may enter into force on March 1, 2023 and be valid until March 1, 2024.
It will be necessary to reserve the date and time through the state information system for electronic transport documents. The government will establish the list of documents for the reservation and the procedure to cross.
Border crossing can only be denied if an incomplete package of documents is provided.
