Gazprombank asked its clients not to make international transfers in US dollars from January 27

Gazprombank announced the request to the bank’s clients not to make international transfers in US dollars on the official Telegram channel.

The reason for the decision at Gazprombank was called the unilateral termination by JPMorgan and Bank of New York Mellon of the correspondent account service. This will not affect the work of Gazprombank, which handles deposits in dollars and international transfers in other currencies.

Since July 20, Gazprombank charges a 3% commission for any SWIFT transfer and credit to dollar and euro bank accounts.

At the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the United States imposed sanctions against Gazprombank and other Russian credit institutions.
