In China, not far from the Kunlun mountain range, is the most winding road in the world – Panlong Road. She rightfully won the title of “road from hell”, due to the large number of laps on the track. Photos of the most sinuous section from above resemble a black snake or a long Chinese dragon perched in a mountainous landscape.
The short and winding Panlong Highway (only 75 km) was built on the hilly plains in 2019 to make life easier for local farmers. Shortly after the opening, this section of the route became popular with extreme tourists and people who want to improve their vestibular apparatus. And if you reach the highest point of the route (the top of the Vuguliyate Daban mountain), you will have a beautiful view of the paved road, which stands out brilliantly from the sand and stone.
For an unprepared driver, this track can be a real challenge. Most of the turns here turn the car 180 degrees and some turns have a 270 degree angle. Despite the short duration of the route, the trip on it usually lasts about three hours (if you eat in good weather).
