It’s no secret that bicycle parking requires much less space than a car. However, in the Netherlands, and above all in Amsterdam, where there is an average of almost one and a half bicycles per inhabitant, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find even such a place.
One of the working solutions to this problem is the construction of underground bike racks. For example, the construction site of an underground garage near the Central was just closed in Amsterdam. The peculiarity of the ego is that it is not only underground, but also under … water.

At this step, Amsterdam has gone radial transfer of the forecourt from the wide bike racks to make it more accessible to pedestrians. A total of two car parks are planned.
