The feature was first made available in the beta version of WhatsApp for Android in 2022. Despite this, it has not yet become available to the public.

Messenger developers have not announced when the feature will appear in a stable release. But at least iPhone owners who took part in testing the service finally got access to the service.

We would like to remind you that editing is limited to text messages and can only be used for 15 minutes after the message has been sent. Like iMessage, WhatsApp displays “edited” on messages modified by the sender.
