Scientific studies have shown that elderberry can help with a cold or flu. They are believed to have healing properties.

That’s right, you can’t eat raw elderberry. The thing is, they contain one toxic substance. May cause vomiting, nausea or diarrhea. Elderberry should be cooked before consumption.

A study published in the Journal of International Medical Research in 2004 noted that elderberry syrup could shorten the duration of the flu by four days. In addition, a scientific article published in the journal Complementary Therapies in Medicine in 2019 states that elderberry can help relieve upper respiratory symptoms associated with the flu.

The body can take elderberry in the form of supplements, juices, teas, jams.
