American hip-hop artist, actor, and producer Snoop Dogg co-founded a blockchain-based live streaming service. The Schiller platform is scheduled to launch in April, the team said in a statement.

The application will use Web3 technologies for audio and video transmission. Thanks to the service, musicians and authors will be able to monetize their content without intermediaries. In addition, it is stated that users of the platform will be able to create their own tokens, as well as digital “passes” for streams.

The platform also provides for rewards that musicians will receive in cryptocurrencies. And subscribers and fans will be able to leave tips and gifts for their favorite authors.

“This app will really give creators a unique platform where they can find followers and monetize their own content,” announces Snoop Dogg about his product.

The contractor has already shown interest in crypto projects. In 2017, he invested in the online broker Robinhood and in 2018 he started a partnership with Ripple. Just under a year ago, the rapper announced the release of the Snoop Avatars NFT Collection with the metaverse Sandbox.
