Since the beginning of 2023, Sberbank has begun testing increased limits for purchases without entering a PIN code.

Now in the bank terminals you can pay for purchases in amounts over 1000 rubles. POS-terminals of Sberbank accept both its contactless cards and cards of other banks for making payments with an increased limit.

Some terminals in Moscow already accept card payments without entering a PIN code for amounts over 2,000 rubles. However, when exceeding 3000 rubles, the code is still requested.

Increase the permission limit to make the payment experience of customers even more consumption while unconditionally reducing the level of transaction security, which is also in line with the growth of the market.
