The Ministry of Industry and Trade has expanded the list of goods for shipment to Russia through parallel imports. The list of allowed products includes IKEA, Hasbro and Mattel, Lancome, Giorgio Armani and Yves Saint Laurent.
In the future, the list may expand: The department plans to include not only individual trademarks, but also their copyright holders, Izvestia has learned.
The interlocutor of the publication said that IKEA products can be found for sale at the end of May – beginning of June, other clothing and perfume brands on the list – in the middle of summer.
In general, this approach will lead to an expansion of the assortment in domestic stores, but the mechanism for delisting suppliers who decide to return to Russia must be carefully worked out, experts warned.
