New subscribers will already sign a service contract at the new price, while old subscribers will be charged from April 18. In the statement, the platform acknowledged that it may lose viewers with new broadcast values.

“We’re committed to providing a premium way to stream TV, but we understand that this new pricing may not be right for you. We hope YouTube TV will continue to be your service of choice, but we want to give you the flexibility to cancel at any time,” the note emphasizes.

The platform has devalued the complementary 4K Plus package to facilitate service expansion. It used to cost $19.99, and now customers are starting to pay $9.99, available from this Thursday (16).
