Like the Bing search engine, it is based on GPT-4 from OpenAI. Copilot will act as a sidebar chatbot for creating text in Word, presentations in PowerPoint or spreadsheets in Excel.

The tool can also help you prepare for Microsoft Teams group calls by providing updates on related projects and organizational changes. To do this, the feature will have deep integration with Outlook.

Microsoft is currently testing Copilot with a small group of customers. This is done so that the company can get feedback and improve their models as they scale.

But most likely, the new tool will be available to a wide range of users in the near future.
