With the update, third-party apps will be able to show standard system notifications asking them to add a shortcut to the taskbar and Start menu. Also, the user will be directly redirected to the Windows settings page to change the default apps.
This was made possible thanks to the extension of the internal link system like ms-settings. The innovations will be available to Windows 11 Insiders in the coming months.
