Russian startup Biometriclabs raised $500,000 from business angel Alexei Matveychuk

Business angel Alexei Matveychuk has invested $500,000 in Russian startup Biometriclabs, which is involved in various projects, including acoustic signal processing in industry, housing and community services, transportation, and medicine.

In exchange for the investment, Matveychuk received 31% of the company, Alexey Frolov, founder of the startup, told RB.RU. The remaining part of 69% stayed with him, he said.

Biometriclabs plans to use the funds raised to develop software to monitor pipeline leaks.

Frolov stressed that the main development of the startup is being carried out by its co-founder Ilya Makarov, Frolov is a member of the board of directors and is responsible for the company’s development strategy.

Biometriclabs was founded in 2020, the startup is a resident of Skolkovo. According to data from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the income of Biometriclabs LLC registered in Moscow in 2021 amounted to 2.7 million rubles with a net loss of 2 million rubles.
