Instagram has confirmed in a post a feature that will allow users to create collections with other people. The company called it collaborative collections, and at the same time you can save messages in shared folders with friends who have similar interests. This feature complements the collections introduced by the company in 2017, adding a new social dimension to the equation.
How can you use it? The first step is to update the app to the latest version available. Once this is done, you can go to Instagram and try to save any post. When you do this, you will see a new option to create a collaborative collection.. In this section, you can choose who you want to share with and the name of the board. Later, friends inside will also be able to add content.
This feature is available from the reels section, the “Overview” tab, feed and from private messages. From any of these locations, you can store content in collaborative Instagram collections.
If it’s not yet available on your mobile phone, don’t worry. The rollout of these features is usually gradual.so it can take anywhere from a few days to a few weeks.
The new feature drinks directly from what Pinterest already offers. Remember that the latter allows “Group Boards” since 2018, where users can collaborate with each other without leaving the platform. Now Instagram has decided to integrate this into its own app to make it easier for users to share content of interest.
“Now when you save content to your feed or from your private messages, you’ll see a new option to create a collaborative collection.”
Despite everything, Instagram has not forgotten about its social component.
While Instagram has been focused on becoming a TikTok competitor, the company hasn’t forgotten about its social component. With this new collaborative collections feature, the company hopes to make it easier for users to share content. For example, if you are planning a trip with friends, you and your group of colleagues can save messages related to sites to visit in one of these collections.
Of course, the feature extends much further, and that’s what you can create collaborative collections of whatever you want. From fashion to food recipes, learning tips, craft ideas and more.
A few months ago we saw the arrival of Notes. This new feature introduced us to a new way to update status.who drink straight from the States of MSN Messenger, a classic Microsoft product. Meta also announced that after the Twitter debacle, it has plans to build a decentralized version of the Blue Bird social network, with Instagram at the top of the equation.
