The GAZ automobile plant filed a new lawsuit against the German concern Volkswagen AG, now for 28.4 billion rubles, according to the filing cabinet of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Arbitration Court.
Earlier, the Russian company demanded to recover from Volkswagen more than 15 billion rubles in damages for the termination of the car assembly contract in Nizhny Novgorod.
The lawsuit was filed on April 7. No details are given, apart from the number of claims.
The newspaper “Kommersant” reported that representatives of “GAZ” refused to comment on the essence of the lawsuit.
Another lawsuit by GAZ against Volkswagen is also being considered by the Nizhny Novgorod Region Arbitration Court. The plant wants to recover from the German automaker 15.6 billion rubles of losses from the termination of the contract for the assembly of cars in Nizhny Novgorod. This lawsuit was filed on March 14.
