Engineers at Cornell University have developed goggles placed next to the sonar to maintain silent transcendence. If a person for some reason cannot make his calls, but p + EchoSpeech device is able to catch these movements and “translate” them into voice commands.

The operation of EchoSpeech is extremely simple – on one arc of the spectacle frame there is a pair of sources of acoustic signals, on the other – a pair of microphones for receiving them. The waves rush towards the mouth and move away from the lips of a person when they move, forming characteristic signals. It turns out an analogue of sonar for reading voice data, even if no sound is emitted.

An important point – EchoSpeech does not use an Internet connection and access to a server to process information, all processes proceed autonomously, confidentiality is collected. The device can recognize the order of 30 different commands with an accuracy of 95%. It does not use energy-intensive components, so EchoSpeech can work up to 10 hours on a single charge.
