Russian dating services invest in promoting apps in the US, Turkey and Kazakhstan

This year, the Mamba service plans to invest about $6.5 million in development in the United States, Turkey, Germany, Israel and Kazakhstan. In a positive scenario, the amount could increase to $10 million.

Another “Teamo” application will focus on the markets of Armenia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia. The owners intend to invest up to $700,000 for development in these countries.

A representative of the LovePlanet.ru dating service said that the company continues to successfully develop in international markets through organic growth strategies and video dating, while the site’s main market is Russia and the CIS countries. In the US market, owners are testing individual video dating apps.

Mamba, entering other markets, expects a faster return on investment due to the absence of problems for a foreign audience with mobile payments, which is now experienced by a part of the Russian audience. Teamo intends to focus on the concepts of conscious dating and serious relationships abroad.

  • Russian dating service users in the spring of 2022 massively abandoned foreign dating services. However, they did not go to Russian services: nine times more Russians left foreign sites than went to Russian ones.
  • In October 2022, the demand for dating apps among Russians in countries popular for relocation increased dramatically, most notably in Armenia.
