They do this by leaking API credentials or known exploits. Next-generation botnets now use fewer devices, but each is significantly more powerful, making botnets 5,000 times more powerful than IoT (Internet of Things)-based botnets.

According to the company, it has already managed to destroy a significant portion of these new botnets. Even so, businesses and start-ups that rely on cloud providers for their virtual private servers remain at risk.
