VKontakte added the ability to hide obscene language in posts and comments.
A special filter has appeared in the “Settings” section, the function is available for the Russian language.
Enabling the filter will hide obscene vocabulary, instead of profanity the user will see a set of abstract characters. In this case, the statement can be displayed in its original form; by clicking on the expression, the user will see a special board that will offer to display the original.
The press service added that the company introduced a new feature as part of a strategy to create a comfortable digital environment. They recalled that previously the platform offered users a special modality of “Personal Space”.
Earlier, the social network released a separate desktop messaging application in which you can create folders with chats. At the beginning of the year, the company announced a service to recognize deepfakes.
