Nelson emphasized the importance of what happened for the progress of space exploration, expressing that he hoped the company would obtain new information before the next flight test.
Recall that on April 20, SpaceX successfully launched a prototype of the Starship reusable transport system, consisting of the Ship 24 spacecraft and the Super Heavy super heavy carrier.
However, about four minutes after launch, at an altitude of 38 km, Starship exploded.
It’s worth noting that Elon Musk, the head of SpaceX, previously argued that if the Starship takes off and the launch pad remains intact, the test will be successful. Despite the explosion, the goal of protecting the site was achieved.
