The NASA head said the United States was not as competitive as during the Apollo program, but China’s advances were alarming. At the same time, despite geopolitical tensions, the United States continues to work with Russia on the International Space Station (ISS) and has a joint crewed flight program.
He also noted that the US is trying to create its own space station that will not be attached to the ISS.
