To tackle this problem, Danish schools have turned to innovative solutions such as the Woof platform.

Woof is a local startup developing a web application to measure students’ well-being. Once a week, children answer questions from a cartoon dog who analyzes the data and creates a “mood landscape” for the class.

Thus, teachers and school administration can monitor the well-being of students and take measures to improve them.

The Woof platform has been implemented in more than 600 schools in Denmark and the number of users continues to increase. Beta testing showed that in 80% of schools using the app, overall mood improved by an average of 0.35 points from 1 to 5 per month.

However, not all experts trust the effectiveness of such tools, believing that they can encourage bad habits and raise concerns about the collection and use of data.
