The only iOS feature I never use. Why do we need a library

I myself am an advanced iPhone user, because every day I spend a lot of time with a smartphone in my hands. I used almost all the chips and features of iOS, including even such less popular ones as tapping on the back cover and a quick assessment for my work.

However, there is one feature that appeared on all iPhones back in 2020, and which I do not use at all. Even though it’s seen from a distance a couple of swipes on the home screen.

The discussion is about traffic.

This completely useless icon stock, which are organized and stuffed into folders according to certain machine algorithms. There is no way I can rename, guess or change their location, nor can I change the name of the folders they are in.

Why is this library needed at all?

The system independently classifies and places installed applications into folders, it becomes easier to find them, because, for example, all installed applications of this category are collected in the “Social Networks” folder.

In practice, putting things in order on the home display is not difficult: I personally have folders that, in the way that is convenient and understandable for me, relate specifically to those applications that I personally put there. And so much better.

For example, Yandex has many applications – for calling a taxi, for accessing Yandex.Disk, a metro map, maps, a navigator, and so on. They are all installed on my iPhone and belong to the Yandex folder selection. However, in the App Library they are all scattered into different categories, and this is a very inconvenient solution.

What is the real application for communication.

The main thing is that I can’t use the ordering of applications in this library in any way, I can’t change the name of folders or drag applications from one folder to another.

That’s why I never open this application network, after all, my personal classification collects games and programs many colors and more pleasant.

Moreover, I asked all my acquaintances with iPhones, and ruled out that most of them agreed with my opinion. There are very few people using the application library, and this reminds me of the situation with the Touch Bar – a touch strip on MacBooks, which Apple rather quickly abandoned due to its unpopularity.

Perhaps in iOS 17, the Cupertinos are also without too much advertising in capturing applications, and to be honest, I won’t be very upset.
