The court did not find Apple “exclusive control over operations in mobile games,” as Epic Games insisted. It did, however, consider as fair the allegations regarding the ban on placing links inside apps on external payment methods for internal purchases in the App Store.
Apple described the court’s decision as a “sounding victory”. It was a serious setback for Epic Games and other developers who had hoped to allow third-party app stores and payment methods to be installed on the App Store.
