The attack took place in March, and the gang behind it that calls itself Medusa has made public about 200,000 files recently stolen from the school system’s servers.
The leaked information included not only students’ birthdays and social security numbers, but also detailed records of students’ behavior issues and briefcases containing information about hundreds of “special needs” children. The leaked documents also included allegations of harassment by some employees, including reports of sexual harassment by a school bus driver.
The Minneapolis Public School District has approximately 29,000 students in dozens of schools. Getting acquainted with the documents entering the network, the NBC television channel said that it could not independently verify their authenticity.
