Dan Laycock, Microsoft’s senior communications manager, confirmed in a statement that the company will continue to offer a range of Surface-branded PC accessories. Existing Microsoft-branded accessories will continue to be available at current prices until stocks last.
The advantage of Microsoft accessories was price (compared to the Surface brand), so it is not clear whether the same “low cost” accessories will be found in the Surface line in the future. The company did not comment on its plans for this product line.
