MTS has completed the consolidation of its entire stake in the Green Dot group of fixed line operators. The company now owns all 13 of the group’s regional assets. The acquisition will allow MTS to strengthen its position in the carrier services market.
MTS has consolidated a 100% stake in the Zelenaya Dotka group of companies, which provides Internet provider services. This was reported by the MTS press service.
The first stage of the transaction for the purchase of MTS’s 51% stake in Green Dot took place in February 2020. In April 2021, MTS purchased the remaining 49% of the company. Now MTS owns all 13 regional assets of the Green Dot group of companies.
The acquisition will allow MTS to strengthen its positions in the operator’s convergent services market.
Green Dot provides home Internet and digital TV services in 18 Russian cities. The company’s assets are located in Belgorod, Lipetsk, Tomsk, Vladivostok and other cities.
