The Moscow Stock Exchange will launch futures trading for the Armenian dram and the Kazakh tenge. Trading with currency pairs will be available on the site from May 11. The new tools may be used by investors, individuals and legal entities.

Trading of futures contracts for currency pairs “Russian ruble – Kazakh tenge” and “Russian ruble – Armenian dram” will start on May 11, the press service of the Moscow Stock Exchange reported.

A trade lot will be 10 thousand tenge or 10 thousand drams. The cost of the minimum price step is 1 ruble for both currency pairs.

Natural and legal persons may use new investment instruments. Market participants will have access to contracts with execution in June, September, December of the current year and in March of the following year.

Since April 4, futures trading for the Arab dirham and the Indian rupee has been available on the Moscow Stock Exchange. In March, the site began trading futures for an exchange-traded fund that invests in the largest Japanese companies.

Previously, the Moscow Stock Exchange launched a platform for over-the-counter trading of unlisted shares.
