Red and processed meat. This type of meat contains compounds that contribute to the development of diabetes. All this leads to insulin resistance.

Refined and fried foods. Therefore, fried foods are high in fat and contain certain harmful substances (glycation end products). Many of the beneficial fiber and micronutrients have been removed from refined foods and replaced by artificial chemicals. And some of the added substances harm the gut bacteria that regulate glucose levels and insulin sensitivity. One such substance is fructose.
