The Lamoda online platform has launched sales of products under its own Lamoda Home brand, a company representative told RB.RU. The own-brand range at the early stage will include bedding and sheet sets.
The production partner of the online retailer was one of the largest textile factories in Russia, which previously supplied IKEA bedding.
The Lamoda Home range will consist of bedding in soothing ‘basic’ shades. The launch phase uses two types of fabric: crisp poplin, which can be left without ironing, and satin. There are also non-standard sizes that IKEA blankets have.
The cost of a set of bedding will be 2999 rubles, sheets – from 1499 rubles. All brand products will be subject to the Lamoda loyalty program with discounts of up to 25%.
According to the online platform, more than half of the turnover in the “Home” section in the last two years came from textile products.
“Given the potential of the category, we plan to develop our own brand by conducting experiments, launching collaborations with designers and expanding the range,” said Irina Shabunina, Lamoda Home category director.
After the start of the special operation in Ukraine, the Zara Home and IKEA brands left Russia, in particular, where household items could be purchased.
