The main legal entity of the retailer, Tander JSC, published an advertising video on social networks, which refers to a “modern market”, where it will be possible to order both food products and goods for the home and cottages, cosmetics and products for the care. , household items with delivery in three hours, equipment, accessories for sports and recreation, furniture and more. The video has now been removed.
The site is supposed to operate under the Magnit Market brand.
A spokesman for the grocery chain confirmed that the retailer was “preparing for a project called Magnit Market” and ran ads under that name, but did not provide details.
The experts interviewed by the newspaper believe that Magnit is looking for opportunities to enter new markets, including the sale of non-food products.
The retailer already has divisions that sell non-food products, such as Magnit Cosmetics and Magnit Apteka. Mikhail Burmistrov, General Director of Infoline-analytics, called the development of projects in the field of express delivery with the expansion of the product range a logical step.
