TikTtok has filed a lawsuit in the US District Court of Montana, challenging a bill passed by the local government last week that bans the social network of short videos from operating in the state. In the process that started on Monday (22), platform argues ban is unconstitutional.

The Chinese practice, “Montana’s ban violates the First Amendment, restricts freedom of speech, violates the U.S. Constitution in many other respects, and is barred by federal law.” The recently enacted law is expected to enter into force in January 2024..
