From the front camera, videos on both Oppo Find X6 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra can be recorded in portrait mode. However, the face is lighter in Oppo and the background is rendered worse than Samsung. In addition, while the S23 Ultra can shoot 4K 60 fps video on the front camera, Oppo can only shoot Full HD.

In the evening at 4K 60 fps, the main camera copes better with Samsung image processing (color reproduction, details, dynamic range). It works better and stabilization. During the day, the S23 Ultra produces a more realistic color image and Oppo tries to make the snow completely white. Neon lettering is more clearly visible on the Samsung, which means it handles glare better overall. Also, the portrait mode doesn’t work very well on the Oppo when shooting at 1080p 30fps on the ultra-wide camera.

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra performs better in video capture in most scenarios.

Next – about the pictures. Photos of people come out a little different in color reproduction. Oppo has a white undertone while Samsung has a bluish undertone. Also slightly more detail and less noise on the Oppo Find X6 Pro. In general, it is noteworthy that Oppo processes images more powerfully compared to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. But in low light Oppo starts to blur photos.

In the daytime shots taken on the main camera, you can see that the Oppo takes warmer and Samsung cooler photos. Oppo also has a bit more detail, but Samsung produces a more colorful picture. Oppo Find X6 Pro also copes better with light in evening and night photos.

With the 3x zoom on the main camera in the evening, Oppo’s photos are already overexposed compared to Samsung’s shots. Although the situation is reversed in one of the shots: the S23 Ultra comes out worse in details and light rendering.

At 10x magnification, of course, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra wins.

Ultra wide-angle lens reveals more details on Oppo.

As for the front camera, HDR works better on Oppo. Everything is pretty much the same in terms of details, but the picture as a whole also looks nicer on the Find X6 Pro.

The Oppo Find X6 Pro has a good grip for portrait shots at 3x zoom, but has some issues with background blur. At the same time, if we compare the Oppo Find X6 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, we cannot say that one of them is better. Both produce very powerful photos.
