Galaxy Watch 4, a long-awaited innovation, finally got official support for Google Assistant. The announcement was made by Samsung this Monday (23), providing even more versatility for its newest line of smartwatches. Until then, wearables were compatible with Bixby, South Korea’s proprietary virtual assistant, which, although working well, had limited functionality.

Google Assistant designed for Wear OS 3 is now available for download from the Play Store. Users will be able to activate it via the app drawer or the Galaxy Watch4’s voice command or physical buttons, making the execution of tasks and resolving doubts even more accessible.

The feature, which was previously revealed in some leaks, required a long development process to implement. Interestingly, the launch already appeared in Google and Samsung’s plans, but it took time for both companies to confirm a preview – opting for the vague suggestion of its “soon” arrival.

It is also worth noting that the launch will be gradual, as explained on the website. XDA DevelopersFirst arrival in the following locations: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, United Kingdom and United States.
