One of the great hardware innovations presented during WWDC in June 2023 was undoubtedly the launch of the 15.3-inch MacBook Air with the M2 processor. It is the largest MacBook Air ever with support for Spatial Audioan autonomy 18 hours and two USB-C Thunderbolt ports.

“When we broke up, we wanted to make a 15-inch MacBook Air. But when you think about how the design looked before, it didn’t work out. It didn’t sound like the Air to us. Apple Silicon really did have all the right to bring this big screen with the longer battery life and performance users have come to expect from a MacBook Air. It allows us to have the components.”

Laura Metz also touched on something Apple has a lot of empathy for during the WWDC 2023 kickoff event: 15 inch laptop market is very important.
